What you’ll need to have before deploying an app:
- App Icon Image
- Splash Screen Image
- Feature Graphic (Google Play Only)
App Icon Image
The app icon is the first thing that people see of your app, so it should represent as best as possible, what your app does. There are many guidelines and best practices for app icons but as long as it shows what your app does – it will be fine.
Tip: your app icon should be simple and easy to identify. Most businesses will have brand guidelines you should follow.
What you need to have:
- Square image: 1024px by 1024px (512 x 512 in Google Play Dev Console)
- The image should NOT have bevelled corners, make it square
- Delivered in .jpg or .png format
- Fliplet automatically generates the different sizes of icons from one larger image
Splash Screen Image
The splash screen shows up for 1-5 seconds when the app first loads. Therefore we recommend keeping it simple – a background color and your company’s or the app’s logo in the center. More info on this can be found here.
