What is the Image Editor?

The Image Editor is used to crop, resize, and rotate images used in your apps. When adding an image to your app, the Image Editor appears on the right, forming part of the configuration options for the image.

Why use the Image Editor

The Image Editor is used for simple editing of the images in your app. Use it to make your images fit the different screen sizes of different devices.

Options of the Image Editor

Crop

Aspect ratio

Allows selection of the aspect ratio to be applied to the image. Available options are:

  1. Custom (this is set to the image’s current dimensions – any changes you make are saved under this option)

  2. Original (same as custom)

  3. Smaller banner (4:1)

  4. Medium banner (16:9)

  5. Big banner (4:3)

  6. Square (1:1)

Crop

Saves changes to the image

Resize

W

The width of the image. Can be edited to the desired dimension.

H

The height of the image. Can be edited to the desired dimension.

Lock aspect ratio

Allows locking of the aspect ratio, meaning that changes in the width are also carried over to the height and vice-versa. Enabled by default.

Resize

Saves the changes to the image

Rotate

Rotate Left

Rotates the image to the left

Rotate Right 

Rotates the image to the right

Apply rotation

Saves the changes to the image

Make sure to click “Save & Close” to confirm any changes made.
