This article lists the credit cost of every activity Fliplet charges for. The names in the first column are the same ones you’ll see on your Billing page, so you can match a line on your bill to the cost below.
For how credits work in general, see Understanding Fliplet credits. For what happens when you run out, see What to do when you reach your credit limit.

Charged every month
These are recurring charges. They are applied again at the start of each billing cycle for as long as the project or the storage exists.
| Activity | Cost | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| Projects in workspace | 15 credits per project per month | Each project you keep in your workspace. |
| Published projects | 400 credits per project per month | Each project that is live. Charged from the moment you publish until you unpublish, archive or delete it. |
| Archived projects | 2 credits per project per month | Archived projects are kept so you can restore them. To stop the charge, delete the project permanently. |
| File storage | 8 credits per GB per month | Everything in your media library. If you delete files partway through the cycle, the freed space is credited back against that cycle. |
| Data records stored | 0.005 credits per record per month | Every row in the data sources used by your projects. |
Publishing
These are one-off charges, applied each time the action happens rather than monthly.
| Activity | Cost | When it applies |
|---|---|---|
| Web publishing | 10 credits | Charged once, the first time a project is given a web address. Changing the address later is free. |
| iOS publishing | 200 credits per build | Each App Store build. Building again later in the same month is charged again. |
| Android publishing | 200 credits per build | Each Google Play build. Building again later in the same month is charged again. |
| Private distribution (MDM) | 100 credits per build | Added to an iOS or Android build when it is distributed privately through MDM or Apple Business Manager. |
Publishing a project also starts the monthly Published projects charge above, which covers hosting it.
End-user activity in published projects
| Activity | Cost | What counts as one |
|---|---|---|
| End users | 1 credit per user per month | Each unique person who opens a published project during the cycle. Someone who opens it twenty times is charged once. |
| Data reads | 0.01 credits each | One query to a data source, whatever number of rows comes back. |
| Data writes | 0.05 credits each | One create, update or delete. |
| SAML sign-ins | 1 credit per sign-in | A sign-in through your identity provider on a live project. Previewing from the builder is not charged. |
| Data source sign-ins | 0.25 credits per sign-in | A sign-in against a data source of users on a live project. |
Communications and services
| Activity | Cost | What counts as one |
|---|---|---|
| Emails sent | 0.1 credits each | One email. Sending to a list charges once per recipient. |
| SMS sent | 2 credits each | One message per recipient. SMS is the most expensive because carriers charge us per message. |
| Push notifications | 0.02 credits each | One notification per device. |
| Actions | 0.15 credits each | One run of an action, whether you triggered it or it ran on a schedule. |
| Maps API calls | 1 credit each | One address lookup or map render. |
AI
AI is the one area where the cost of a single action varies. Everything the AI does on your behalf is charged, whether you are building in the studio or your end users are using AI inside a published project.
AI prompts
AI prompts are charged by length, not per message. The cost of one message depends on how long your prompt is, how long the answer is, and which model handled it. You don’t choose the model. Fliplet picks one for each request.
Three things are worth knowing, because they explain most of the variation you’ll see on your bill:
- Answers cost about six times as much as prompts of the same length, so a request that produces a long response costs more than a long request that produces a short one.
- Staying in one conversation is cheaper per message than starting fresh ones, because the AI reuses what it already read.
- Asking for a whole screen costs more than asking for a small change to it.
Every message costs at least 0.5 credits. As a rough guide, building a simple project from scratch tends to cost between 30 and 100 credits, and a feature-rich project built over several sessions runs into the hundreds or low thousands.
Other AI activities
| Activity | Cost | What it is |
|---|---|---|
| AI image generation | From 1 credit per image, around 12 for a standard one | The cost rises with the size and quality you ask for, and with the model used. A small, low-quality image is a fraction of the cost of a large, high-quality one. |
| AI audio transcription | From 1.5 credits per minute of audio | Charged on the real length of the recording. |
| AI embeddings | 0.01 credits minimum per request, and about 1 credit per 75,000 words indexed | Used when your project searches your own content by meaning rather than by keyword. Indexing a list of records charges per request, so most indexing jobs sit at the minimum. |
| AI web fetches | 0.05 credits per page, or 0.5 if the page has to be opened in a browser | The AI reading a web page you pointed it at. |
| AI saved assets | 0.5 credits each | The AI downloading an image or PDF and saving it to your media library. |
| AI page inspections | 2 credits each | The AI opening a page in a real browser to copy its layout or styling. |
Reading your bill
Go to Manage organization > Billing to see what you have actually spent. The Breakdown tab groups your usage by activity, using the same names as the tables above, and by project, so you can see which project is spending the most.
Credits are shown to two decimal places, so small charges such as data reads appear as a single total for the cycle rather than line by line.
If a charge on your bill doesn’t look right, contact us through the chat in Fliplet Studio or at support@fliplet.com.
