As of August 2025, the Form Templates feature will be retired from the Form component in Fliplet.
What’s changing?
We’re retiring the Form Templates feature to improve performance and streamline your experience. Here’s why:
-
Screen Templates offer a better alternative
You can now use Screen Templates, which are faster, more flexible, and easier to manage. They let you reuse entire screens, including forms and other components -
Faster loading times
Removing Form Templates will significantly improve the loading speed of the Form component, especially for organizations with many apps -
Low usage
Form Templates are not being used by many Fliplet users, and we’re focusing on supporting the tools that provide the most value
What does this mean for you?
-
The Form Templates option will no longer appear in the Form component
-
No data or forms will be deleted. Form templates are based on existing forms in your apps, so those forms will still exist as normal screens in your app
-
If you were using form templates, you can still access the original forms from the app in which they were created in
Recommended Alternatives
To replicate the functionality of form templates, we recommend either of the following:
Option 1 – Use Screen Templates
This is the most efficient option. You can:
-
Access templates easily when creating new screens, improving development speed and consistency
-
Enjoy faster load times and a more intuitive interface compared to the legacy Form Templates feature
Option 2 – Create a ‘Templates’ App
-
Create an app to house reusable screens
-
Duplicate screens from that app into your other apps whenever needed
-
Easy to maintain and share within your team
Do I need to do anything?
If you’re not currently using Form Templates, no action is needed.
Timeline

Now–August 2025: Transition period (support available)
